Unnerving minute surfers paddle for their lives as a four-meter shark chases them

These stunning pictures taken by a surf picture taker in Perth, Australia, demonstrates a four-meter long shark slicing through the water as a gathering of frightened surfers urgently attempt to oar to security after they understood what they were sharing the surf with.


Rick Knoppert, the picture taker who caught the fantastic pictures at prominent surfing spot Mettams pool, said that he was there to snap huge waves and never thought he would catch such a near fiasco on camera.

Rick who addressed WA Today said:

"There was no surf around. At that point I saw the folks scrambling toward the shoreline. I suspected that was bizarre so I began capturing and lo and see, this is the thing that I got.

"It was all over in five minutes. It was energizing for the folks surfing , they got truly hummed."

Rick sent the unnerving snaps to the Department of Fisheries which evaluated the monster to be up to four meters in length. Keeping in mind the shark's breed couldn't be resolved, the picture taker trusts it could be a bronze whaler taking after various sightings in the zone as of late.

Rick likewise trusts the shark didn't represent any peril to the surfers. he said:

"It was pursuing fish around. At a certain point, a major fish hopped up before it – I didn't get that shot, sadly."
