How To Stop Unsolicited SMS & Calls On Airtel

It appears like Nigerian correspondence commission has woken up from their sleep to hear the cries of the masses over the spontaneous messages from our different information transfers organizations.


Airtel has declared its 'Don't Disturb' short code, 2442, intended to permit supporters deal with every limited time message sent to their lines.

Airtel clients can now select in or out of the 'Don't Disturb' administration whenever, accordingly enabling supporters of end spontaneous limited time SMS or special voice calls. To utilize the administration clients can content "help" to 2442.

Its Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Ahmad Mokhles, said the code was presented in consistence with the order of the Nigerian Communications

Commission (NCC), and in light of grievances of spontaneous SMS or limited time voice calls by a few clients.

"Airtel is focused on offering incredible client administration and we are satisfied to present the 'Don't Disturb' self-administration to engage our regarded clients to choose what messages or calls they get from the system.

"While there are clients that interest limited time administrations to stay up to date with different imaginative items and administrations, there are other people who would prefer not to be aggravated – that is the reason NCC has ordered telecoms organizations in Nigeria to make this administration, giving alternatives to clients to either pick in or out," he said.
